An Introduction

Once upon a time, in a little apartment just outside of Dublin, sat an Englishman, an Irish lass, and two Yanks. No, this isn't the beginning of some joke, though it very well could be I guess. A little over two weeks ago, my husband, David and I, traveled over the Atlantic Ocean, arriving in Dublin, Ireland. We would be staying for 10 days in this beautiful country, visiting with our friends Ian and Jenni, who graciously offered to host us.

David and I first met Ian and Jenni in our home state of Washington, specifically in Ellensburg at a camp called Lazy F. Ian and Jenni both worked at this camp but ended up returning to their home in Ireland last year.

Before they left, we had talked about traveling to Ireland to visit this awesome duo, but it wasn't until around May when we actually bought the tickets and started a barrage of emails and Facebook messages with Ian and Jenni in planning our trip.

Needless to say, we had an amazing time in this country. Beautiful countryside, awesome friends, delicious fish and chips...

I believe it was during dinner when the idea of writing a blog came up. I mean, think about it. We have Ian, who is from England, Jenni who grew up in Ireland, and David and I who grew up in the good ole' US of A. During our visit, we had many adventures and the sharing of cross-cultural experiences. We would like to use this blog to share some of our stories, some that happened during this trip, some that have happened in the past, and some that have not yet crossed our paths. The point of this blog is to make you laugh, contemplate, laugh some more and maybe learn some new things about another culture. We hope you enjoy "Leg of Graham."

p.s. Stay tuned to hear the story of how our title, "Leg of Graham" came about.
